Episode 77 Recap

February is finally over (pretty much) and March is gearing up to be a hot month for VMFM 91.7 and It Came from the Desert. Brad Laner will be on the show this Sunday and the QOTSA show is right around the corner. That coupled with some killer albums on the way is making 2011 not suck.

Obey the Hair

This week's artist focus was Hello=Fire, the solo project of Queens of the Stone Age/Raconteurs utility man and guitarist for The Dead Weather, Dean Fertita, and hot damn is this catchy. If you haven't heard it yet, I strongly suggest it. If you dig the Raconteurs vibe and catchy pop-rock, then  pick this thing up.

The only thing louder than tonight's show...

Can February just end already? Tonight I'll be gearing up for the exciting month of March with some old Queens of the Stone Age, requests from last week, and more. I'll also be taking questions for Brad Laner; I'll be interviewing him after the show, you'll hear it next week!

Next week's show is going to be a noise-fest of old Medicine, new Brad Laner solo, and some bands I don't usually play, so tonight I'll go old school. I'll also have my report on the Cd/Record fair that hit Scranton today, I found a gem! I also picked up Songs for Singles by Torche on vinyl, awww yeah!

Here's my new alarm.
